Astral Voices began in early 2006 as a project to test, test & test again "New Digital Media" technology, in particular podcasting, blogging and I.P. telephony. Essentially we wanted to learn what the best software, hardware & services involved in new digital media were and more importantly, which never made the grade. After much research we decided to apply what we had learnt in a real life situation and so we reported from the 2006 Edinburgh Arts Festival. The fruits of our labour can be viewed Astral Voices Edinburgh Festival 2006 website. Success was measured not in podcast listener or website viewer numbers (in fact we never promoted the podcast or website at all) but rather in the level of knowledge gained.
